The Project StoryTelling aims at supporting educational processes in science teaching. In this respect, both the scientific literacy as well as the competences with respect to the nature of science shall be improved. For this purpose, specifically designed stories are used as educational materials. These stories are based on historical episodes and structured according to the scheme proposed by Klassen (2010).
This project originated from a project funded by the EC (Storytelling @ Teaching Model, Project 518094-LLP-1-2011-1-GR-COMENIUS-CMP). All the materials developed in this project are published on this website.
However, the end of this collaborative project was not the end for us. A particular aspect of the Flensburg StoryTelling approach is the emphasis on the actual narration by the teacher. Consequently, we have developed a format for the training of in-service as well as pre-service teachers that takes a particular focus on the required skills and competences. As a result of the ongoing work in this project, there are additional materials which do not result from the initial project.
